AVCRO has successfully completed a complex structural repair on a Virgin Australia B737, returning the aircraft to service ahead of schedule. The project is a further demonstration of our team’s technical expertise, collaboration and commitment to delivering safe, high-quality outcomes for our customers.
The repair, which involved significant structural work on the lower fuselage, was carried out at our Brisbane Airport facility by a multidisciplinary team of engineers, licensed aircraft maintenance engineers (LAMEs) and inspectors. The aircraft was returned to service two days ahead of the agreed schedule, minimising downtime for our customer.
A collaborative effort
The project required close collaboration between AVCRO’s structures specialists, planning team and quality assurance personnel, working alongside Virgin Australia’s engineering and continuing airworthiness teams.
"The professionalism, communication and technical expertise demonstrated by AVCRO throughout this project was outstanding. Their team delivered a complex repair with minimal disruption to our operations, and we're very pleased with the result."
